This World I Found is a paper and handmade goods store in Jackson, Tennessee. Kathryn Buncik and Courtney Searcy officially joined together in January of 2013 to start selling their products on Etsy. Currently they only have an online store but hope to open a physical storefront in the coming years.
Basically our shop started with a short dialogue.
Kathryn: "Hey, do you want to open a paper goods shop with me?"
Courtney: "Okay."
Courtney changed her major from journalism to art her senior year. Risky, maybe. Worth it? Most definitely. Kathryn and Courtney started to notice similar styles in their creations. Both had been thinking of starting up some sort of shop selling paper/ handmade goods. On their art department's annual Art Retreat and very much on a whim, Kathryn asked Courtney if she wanted to open a shop together. Three months later, the name This World I Found was decided upon.
A large part of their mission is to help build up the arts community local to Jackson, Tennessee. This is why opening a shop location is so important. They see much community, beauty, and history in the downtown Jackson area and hope to be a part of that with a physical presence in the coming years.
We love doing what we do. And we thank you genuinely for your support. We certainly couldn't do it without you.
